Bud Chandler

Chandler won a pair of NCAA singles titles, in 1925 and ’26, and also added a doubles title in ’26 with partner Thomas Stow. Chandler led the Golden Bears to their only NCAA team championship in 1925. Ranked No. 5 in the U.S. in 1926, Chandler mostly retired from professional tennis to attend Harvard Law School. He did play in Wimbledon in 1929, losing in the first round. He later spent years playing USTA senior tournaments, winning 10 national titles.
